See active timers at a glance

When someone starts a timer, a pulsing clock icon appears on the ticket card. Paused timers show an orange pause badge. Your whole team can see which tickets are actively being worked on - in real time.

Running and paused badges

A green pulsing icon appears on ticket cards when a timer is running. Paused timers show an orange badge instead. Both disappear when the timer is stopped.

Real-time updates

Timer events are broadcast in real time. When a teammate starts, pauses, resumes, or stops a timer, the badge updates on your board instantly - no page refresh needed.

Total time badge

Tickets with logged time show a small badge with the total duration, so you can see at a glance how much effort has gone into each ticket.

How time tracking works

No configuration needed. Time tracking is available on every ticket in every project, out of the box.

1

Start a timer

When you click play, a time entry is created with a timestamp and no end time. This is your running timer. Only one timer can be running per user at a time.

2

Pause and resume

Need a break? Hit pause to freeze the timer - your accumulated time is preserved. Resume whenever you're ready. You can even start a new timer on a different ticket while one is paused.

3

Board updates in real time

Real-time events are broadcast to everyone viewing the board. Running timers show a green pulsing badge, paused timers show an orange pause badge - visible instantly for all team members.

4

Stop the timer

When you stop the timer - whether it's running or paused - the duration is calculated and saved. The badge is removed from the card in real time. The total logged time updates automatically.

5

Add manual entries

If you forgot to start the timer, add a manual entry with a custom duration in minutes. It's attributed to your user and added to the total immediately.

6

Works across all your devices

Start a timer on the website and pause it from your phone. Resume on your Mac. Stop from anywhere. Your timer state syncs across the website, macOS, iOS, and Android apps in real time.
